An "American Muslim" gunman has allegedly broken into a Jewish Federation Center, and shot six people, killing one. All of those targetted are women. Three remain in critical condition.
Those who are religious or otherwise willing are asked to pray for survival of the wounded victims. Those who are vindictive may no doubt find ways to donate for the legal fund to prosecute the man.
The gunman has been identified as using a "large-caliber semiautomatic" handgun. As a result, anyone planning to buy a handgun in Seattle would be suggested to do so now rather than in a few weeks.

I'm a bit confused over this story. This peace loving Muslim couldn't have gone around trying to kill anyone, Islam is a religion of peace. A Muslim would NEVER try to 86 a Jew or to terrorize them. I mean, this kind of thing never happens in Israel, so maybe the gun made him do it? If it weren't for the guns we'd all be singing (probably something directed towards Allah in a daily prayer) together in harmony.
Seriously, I didn't see a mention of the PATRIOT act in there. I'm fairly surprised that he might get charged with a hate crime...he must be "close enough" to whitey to qualify.
Washington state have capital punishment? If not, lets send him to Israel. That way when he's publicly executed the rest of those wacky Muslims can see the Jews as people of the book.
Russians
Back in my younger days, Sting wrote a song called "Russians". The basic premise is we would avoid avoid global warfare "if the Russians love their children too". Made sense to me, still does, which brings me to my point.
In the war today, we are faced with an enemy that does not hold the same basic values we, or most of the civilized world, do. They would rather send their children out with bombs strapped to their chests than to work for their children's future.
Such a basic difference cannot be ignored, but many do. They will continue to ignore this difference until, once again, it strikes home.
I just hope it doesn't come to that.

'Converted Christian'? That explains why he was attending a mosque two weeks before the attack and shouted out that he was "A Muslim American".

Regardless of where he attended church last, he did, by all reports, make the statement Steve mentions. It's quite possible there was no real religious reasons for the attack. I've been in situations where someone would mention ties to a supremacist group when in fact they had none. They just to make the target of the statement mad.
I think the guy's gonna go for the insanity defense.
