I agree MOSTLY with Rustmeister's entry "Don't Panic - Yet". However, while our gun rights might not be under fire, we have other issues that could impact us (primarily by making buying ammo harder)...
1. Illegal Immigrants, might become U.S. Citizens
2. Why MOSTLY? Well...John Bolton our Ambassador to the U.N. is up this January. Will the libs vote him in? I doubt it! This could be VERY BAD with the U.N. just getting a start on the "make all guns illegal". By the way, the U.N. is happy!
3. The "cut-and-run" out of Iraq and on the War on Terror
4. Then of course if you are a right-winger like me, then there are a ton of other issues (wrong site to discuss those!)
Finally, hopefully we will not see anything like this during the next few years by the federal gov't.

Bush knew we'd cut and run if the Dems took over, that's why he had the Rummy swap-out planned beforehand. It's a pity, all that sacrifice will be for naught.
I'm willing to bet there's a whole lot of celebrating going on in the middle east, too, it's just not being shown.
The whole illegal immigrant thing is gonna be hard to watch.
