I was wondering if any of you owned a Springfield M6 Scout? If so how does it preform? And how much did you get it for, I know they aren't produced any more so I am considering picking one up.
I've got one and it's quite fun. Are you sure they're not making them anymore? I can't get to the Springfield site from here behind the Firewall of Idiocy but last I checked they were current production. Got mine at Cabela's a couple of years ago.
I've got the standard .22 / .410 combo - they make at least one other.
The trigger guard the lawyers made them add means it no longer folds for storage but it still separates and you can get a (long) pistol sized case for it.
Fun little thing. Not what I'd want to have to depend on in a survival situation, but exactly the sort of thing that would be a lifesaver in a survival situation because you'd have it (and a bit of ammo too).
Take a tip from me and use some paracord to make a foreend for it - the barrel gets hot when you're out plinking and besides, if you're ever in a survival situation you'll appreciate the paracord.
The para cord was what I had already done, its a great idea, I also added one of those cheap double mag-pouches to the side with super glue and zip ties, in it I put a multi tool, and a water proof match case filled with fishing line, sinkers, hooks, etc. On the other side of the stock I put a whole pack of waterproof matches. Its a very cool little toy, i am glad I am not the only one who loves these little guns. now if I could only have teh time to go a play more
