Ammo

Been shopping for ammo. I have a good supply laid in, but you can never have enough. Anybody know a good source for surplus .308 and .45ACP?

Also just to stir up some conversation, what is your SHTF gun or guns? Mine is a Socom16 and SA 1911 Mil-Spec. They always go bang when I pull the trigger and pack enough punch. Reliabilty equals confidence when it comes to guns and I'm very confident in my choices.

SHTF gun or guns

Taurus PT1911 in .45ACP.

Romy mil-spec AKM in 7.62x39.

Both with spare loaded mags at the ready.

Also a Remington 870 in 20 ga. and an aluminum baseball bat.

DPMS M4 5.56mm
Mossburg 500 12ga. security 8

With those 3 I have the best of all worlds in a @$#ked up situation.

Surplus .45

Haven't seen any of that in a LONG time. Some .308 is available, but some of it's at near-nosebleed prices; last time I saw SA ball in the battle pack it was up to $70-75.
